The classic wire-guided Automower — the only mower here that does not depend on satellites or cameras.

Not published by the manufacturer on this listing: coverage area, slope, runtime, noise. Those rows show a dash rather than a guess.
Old technology, and that is the entire argument for it. A buried wire does not care about tree cover, cloud, or a neighbour's new extension.
Scored on the same six criteria as every other model on this site.
A balanced hexagon means an all-rounder; a spike means a specialist.
The 430X is the model most robot mower comparisons still measure against. It uses a physical perimeter wire rather than satellite positioning, which is why Husqvarna's own listing calls it a reliable wired solution: performance does not change with the weather or the tree canopy. GPS-assisted navigation builds a coverage map so it stops re-cutting the same strips. The cost is the install — expect a weekend, or a professional.
A lawn under mature trees where satellite navigation is simply the wrong technology.
Anyone unwilling to bury a wire, or who wants a mower running the same afternoon it arrives.

This model is rated to an unpublished area. Manufacturer coverage figures assume dry grass, daily mowing and a reasonably open shape — take off roughly 15% for a lawn with trees, narrow passages or a wet climate.
The manufacturer does not publish a gradient rating for this model. Treat any real slope as unproven and check with the seller before buying for one.
Boundary type: Perimeter wire. A perimeter wire has to be pegged or buried around the whole lawn before first use — budget a weekend, or a professional install.
Roughly every four to six weeks of daily mowing. Dull blades tear grass instead of cutting it, which is the usual cause of brown tips. Replacement blades for this model cost a few dollars a set.
