1. What we collect
Information you give us. Only what you send by email. We use it to answer you and nothing else.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — for security and troubleshooting.
Tools you use on this site. The lawn matcher and the comparator run entirely in your browser. The lawn size, slope and budget you enter are never transmitted to us or stored on a server.
2. Cookies and local storage
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. It stores one preference in your browser's local storage — your light or dark theme choice — which never leaves your device. Details are on the cookie policy page.
3. Third parties
Amazon. When you click an affiliate link you leave this site and Amazon's own privacy policy applies. Amazon may set cookies to attribute a purchase to us. We receive only aggregate commission reporting — never your name, address or payment details.
Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google's font service, which receives your IP address as part of the request.
Hosting. This site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes server logs on our behalf.
4. Legal basis and retention
Where the GDPR applies, we process email correspondence on the basis of legitimate interest in responding to you, and server logs on the basis of legitimate interest in operating the site securely. Email is kept while the conversation is useful; server logs are kept according to our host's standard retention period.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these, email info@chorevalet.com.
6. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
